1. The most widely recognized content in BI was probably TDWI.org. 4. The name Ralph Kimball has appeared on more than one occasion, but perhaps not just in reference to BI. He is internationally recognized as an innovator, writer, educator, speaker and consultant in the field of data warehousing. He maintained his long-term belief that data warehouses must be designed to be understandable and fast. His books on dimensional design techniques have become the best sellers of data warehousing. To date, Ralph has written more than 100 articles and columns for Intelligent Enterprise and its predecessors, winning the Readers’ Choice Award five years in a row. 5. Like Ralph Kimball, Bill Inmon is another name that has been discussed fairly regularly.
