The Effects of Computer Technology on Our Everyday Lives

Today, the computer technology industry is growing and evolving rapidly. Along with this growth and change in computer technology, people are adapting almost instantly to change.

Computer technology has made our lives much easier and more convenient. For example our banking needs. Years ago, users had to manually sort important data from their customers. now they just use the computer to find that data. In one click, they would instantly find the customer’s name, date of birth, address, email address, phone numbers, etc. As for the customers of these banks, they can also quickly check the balance of their accounts by connecting to the bank’s website; in addition to that, many people can apply for a loan with the use of the computer.

Due to the birth of computer technology, we now have credit cards or what others call plastic money, which is very useful, especially when we do not have cash or when you order a certain product on the Internet. It’s amazing how much computer technology has changed our way of life so much. Nowadays, the purchase of products such as cell phones, bags, household utensils, clothes or even the payment of bills can be done effortlessly in the comfort of your home.

With the use of the computer, many students, especially those with an unfortunate disability or serious illness, can enroll in different schools through home schooling. Students can even take their exams or read their notes using the computer.

As far as I know, computer technology has helped many businesses better serve the community. But computers did not only help us in the business world; this also has an effect on our communication systems. Long before the birth of computers, writing letters was the main source of communication, which would be particularly annoying for people who lived in distant places; In addition, the phones were quite expensive, so people would rather write to their loved ones. And for this reason, people far removed from civilization would really have trouble communicating with others. We now have e-mails and live chats, even voicemails. We already have video calls in which we could see the person we are talking to. It would be really great for people who have loved ones away from home. Getting in touch with each other is now a piece of cake.

Computer technology has changed our lives for the better. Without that, we would still live in prehistoric times.
