Computers have become an integral part of our lives. About two decades ago, these machines were introduced. Over a period of 15 to 20 years, computer technologies have invaded the world. You will rarely find anyone who does not know the benefits and uses of this magnificent machine. However, they might not be able to understand the term computer hardware.
When we talk about computers, we are talking about hardware and software. These two jobs are synchronized so that the computers work as they do. Computer hardware is the physical or tangible part of the system where, as such, the software is an application that is not tangible. The hardware can only work if it is supported by the software it needs.
Computer hardware is more of a fixed feature than software. Computer software can easily and frequently be changed or modified. However, the same is not true for computer hardware, as most of them are not even visible. The hardware is integrated with the computer’s device. This does not mean that if they become bad, they can not be replaced. Depending on the type of hardware, replacement is an option.
The basic circuit is called the motherboard which is the basic building block of this complex system. For the processing and understanding of the data, there is a hardware called CPU or CPU. The hardware that serves as the memory of the machine is called RAM (Random Access Memory). To make sure that the software applications are loaded, there is an item called Basic Input / Output System or BIOS, which controls and executes the system. There are other hardware supports such as monitor, keyboard, CD-ROMs, floppy disks, Zip drives, and hard disks.
There could be an endless list of computer hardware and accessories that you could keep adding to make your system more and more powerful. However, those mentioned above are indispensable.
